There were 6 in the Coypu Pond and 10 were seen  in the coast

Showing the lobate foot. Unlike ducks, whose three digits (2-3-4) are connected by a membrane, in the grebes these three digits show lobes on each finger. This gives the grebes more freedom to move each finger separately.
