So looked like the mist at 9 am when I photographed the cocoi heron (left) and the black-crowned night-heron (right). 

It is about 6.30 pm and this crepuscular species becomes active to forage. A typical scene of a heron staying frozen to capture a prey. The black-crowned night-heron is an opportunist and feeds on reptiles, fish, amphibians, invertebrates and bird chicks.
