Light morph. Simón and Ignacio saw this hawk which first quarrelled with caracaras and then with two Harris's hawks. Two silhouettes to bear in mind. Harris's hawk's wings are rounded and broad. White-tailed hawk's are wide at the base and pointed. Harris's hawk's tail is longer than that of the white-tailed.

About 15 minutes later they swa another individual which was not the same judging by the feathers of the wing.

Matías Juhant says this is an immature, most certainly in its second year. The photo is not good enough to appreciate the colouration of the feathers. But secondaries are shorter. The tail has a conspicuous subterminal band which is characteristic of a second year.
