The Screaming Cowbird parasitizes almost exclusively the Greyish Baywing. In the photo a young Screaming Cowbird is claiming for food. The plumage of both birds is quite similar. But on the screaming cowbird black spots are already appearing.

This bay-winged cowbird looked for food on a cattail pile beside the wall. With the morsel in its bill it flew to a tipu tree nearby, stayed there for a few seconds and crossed the street to reach another tree. Clear sign that it was food for a chick, otherwise it would have eaten it right away. After some attempts we spotted the nest in a poplar. He was reusing a great kiskadee's nest. We assumed the chick or chicks should be very little since we could not see gaping bills.
