Like the other waterbirds the Black-necked Swan disappeared from the reserve when the ponds got dried. From 2008 to 2016 records show these birds flying across the reserve. In 2016 they settled again

© Mirta Ragonesi Adult swans often carry their chicks on their back. Chicks get on board by anchoring their head to the adult´s body and use their legs to crawl up to a safe place.
