We had already said that Lui ans Cecilia had seen a skua very far and could not determine the species. Today, instead, Carlos Ferrari, Silvia Vitale, Simón Tagtachian y Diego Monteleone managed to identify the skua using a telescope.
As Silvia says what pretends to be the photo of the skua was taken at a distance of more than 700 mts. Three individuals were spotted.
Carlos adds: "There is no doubt of what we saw. In the photo we can appreciate the typical posture of a skua on the wing. And the buff colouring was seen at times, too, depending on the angle. It is bigger and more robust when compared to the Brown-hooded Gull. Also the white spots on the primaries were clearly seen.
