They are solitary wasps. To stock food for the larvae they capture spiders and insects, many of which are harmful to crops. The female captures they prey, paralizes it with the sting, takes it to the nest where it is kept near the egg. They can nest in the ground, rotten wood, plant stems or use mud to build nests. The adults feed on the nectar from flowers and body fluids of their victims.
