It feeds on arthropods which are caught by pouncing on them and injecting venom thorugh the chelicerae. Not by using a spider web. This spider is not aggressive but it defends when feeling threatened. Its bite leaves a very painful wound which may last two days. In serious cases it may lead to a local necrosis which heals very slowly.
