Developmental cycle - Coscoroba swan

This pair of coscoroba swan bred in the reserve in 2014. The Coypu Pond was being restaured. They built the nest on an island which had been formed with the material extracted from the pond. This was the only pair which bred. They had 5 cygnets which survived up until now.
This compilation of photos has the objective of following the development of the cygnets - how the bill, the wings and the body as well as the plumage change as they grow. They are in chronological order and photos have been selected to show these details. This is the material gathered. Those who want may send material to complete or improve what has already been published.
The photo which begins this story dates back to 1st of August with the nest already built and the pair incubating

Five months after we had begun with the sequence of photos we leave the cygnets looking like almost adults
