Paying attention carefully the subtle differences between male and female can be appreciated. The female (photos above) has a flank with black and white scaled design and a thick barring design on the tail. In the male (photos below) the flank has a black and white barring design and a very thin design on the tail.

Claudia recorded this family for the first time on May 14th. There were five chicks and all of them prospered. A month and a half has passed and the chicks still look and wait for the morsel. The chicks are almost as big as their parents and their plumage looks like the adult's. In the video the two parents, each one with only one chick at a time, can be seen showing the process form them to learn the technique of breaking and tearing off the fleshy part from the shell.
Once again this Myiarchus appeared in the reserve. It is easily confused with other Myiarchus due to their similarities. Pablo found it on the Lizard Path on June 26th. It did not vocalize so we were waiting for confirmation. But yesterday during a walk Carlos Ferarri saw it again and this time it did vocalize and no there was no doubt it is the brown-crested flycatcher
