Today Saturday 27th Sally dropped by the reserve though the day was wet. The reserve was closed. So, she rode along the sidewalk by the Coypu Pond. She saw mainly water birds - yellow-billed teals, Brazilian ducks and lots of white-faced whistling-ducks, the three coot species, common gallinule and a limpkin. But most surprising was a new family of rosy-billed pochard. Sally saw something moving in the water and thought of a turtle. But the ducklings began to appear from the vegetation: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... 20 ducklings appeared! A real super mom! She had not taken the camera but took a photo with her cell phone.
