There are too few records of this beautiful woodpecker. Andrés De Miguel texted he had heard it. Sergio happened to be near and went to try his luck. The woodpecker was heard in the dense vegetation till it flew to another place and Andrés managed to take a first shot. Some time later this female woodpecker showed herself and here is the result.
