On December 11th for the first time we saw the four newborn jacanas. They folow the father and feed themselves. As they are so little the father keeps them warm by hugging them with his wings. The little jacanas position between his body and his wings, so the father must crouching so that they may take position. Since they are short, their legs dangle. The heat session lasts about 2 minutes and repeated the operation three times while we were there. We tried to discover the signal to gather the chicks, but we could not. No sound was heard. Only the head movements, sort of hiccups were seen. In the video only three chicks appeared but all four were there.
