Great Grebe

On Sunday 26th almost 30 great grebes were observed along the coast. As the tide was high some ventured near the reeds to catch fish and were lucky. It seemed there was plenty of fish to forage. The group was composed of juveniles and adults. On Sunday 3rd fewer specimens were observed. At the moment of the sighting the tide was much lower, so they were farther from the coast.
This family was photographed for the first time at the beginning of August.
One of the chicks a month later. It is no longer dependent on its parents and feeding on his own. That same day parents began building a new nest
By the following week they were already incubating the eggs
