The lechiguana paper wasp is a honey-producing wasp just like the camuati paper wasp. Like the camuatí, the lechiguana hangs its nest from tree branches and build them in the same way. They prepare a papery material by mixing saliva with vegetal fibers. They can be told apart since the camuati's nest outer layer presents spines which are absent in the lechiguana's. Judging by the number of wasp nests detected we must say that the camuati highly outnumbers the lechiguana. The lechiguana is a small dark wasp with thin yellow bands on the abdomen. It produces a very limpid honey.
